NCEA Results Posted Online
3 February 2012
One Tree Hill College student achievement levels have risen across the
board with NCEA Level 1, 2, 3 and University Entrance all increasing by between
3 to 9%. In addition to this, the percentage of students achieving their
required Literacy and Numeracy levels has risen well above the national mean at
76% and 89% respectively. These are excellent results.
The most outstanding result however was the very high percentage of
students who achieved with endorsement at either a merit or excellence level.
Over 29% of our NCEA Level 1 students achieved with an endorsement - a figure
which is simply exceptional and well above the national mean. These are
students who are achieving at a very high level and a very strong indicator of
the continued excellent teaching and learning taking place at One Tree Hill
College. We are still very optimistically awaiting the release of NZQA
Scholarship results - the highest level of achievement possible and we hope to
report even further success in the next two weeks.
These wonderful results reflect the emphasis that we have placed on our
'Attitudes to Learning' which are fundamental to student success. Students are
focussed on academic achievement, and 2012 will see One Tree Hill College reach
even greater heights following our outstanding successes last year.
We would like to congratulate the many students who were endorsed with
either merit or excellence in their NCEA last year. To succeed at these levels
are outstanding achievements and we are all very proud of these students. At
our first full school assembly we honoured these students with 'Academic
Excellence' awards and challenged all other students to emulate their success
this year.
Students can access their own information only by using their NCEA numbers
and passwords.
