ASB Polyfest 2018

|| March 27, 2018

On 14-17 March, 9 cultural groups from One Tree Hill College took part at the ASB Polyfest 2018 held at the Manukau Sports Bowl. The Kapa-haka, Korean, Spanish, Fiji Indo-Chinese Fusion, Hawaiian, Samoan, Cook Island, and Tongan groups showed splendid performances and they have successfully represented their culture well. Fortunately, some of the cultural groups took home the bacon. For the Diversity Stage, the Hawaiian Group won the first place in American Continent Category and the Spanish Group also won the first place in the European Continent Category. In addition, the Cook Island Group won third place in the Cook Islands Stage while Dennis Tokorangi gained the second place in year 12 speeches in the Cook Islands Stage as well. For the Tongan Stage, Siesi Katoa gained the first place in year 10 speeches.

All groups put in so much effort to represent their culture and the school. They all did their best and the performance quality truly improved over the years. A major congrats to all the winners and to all the groups!
