Masterchef 2019

|| June 25, 2019

Yet another highly anticipated inter-whanau competition, One Tree Hill College Masterchef was held in June and saw tremendous effort as well as delicious food delivered courtesy of our school's very own budding master chefs! Richelle Rattan, who represented Miro whanau in the Year 12 cooking team felt “grateful participating for my whanau and making them proud. It was a new experience in a positive environment where i connected with different people.” This year, Miro took out the victory in a close tussle with Hinau, followed by Kowhai then Tawa. Mr McWhinnie, Miro Whanau leader recalls the event as “exciting and fun in seeing all the different students across whanau classes and year levels come together, who wouldn't usually participate in the whanau sporting competitions, interacting with each other and making the most of this opportunity.” He adds “It also felt great to beat Kowhai.” A big thank you to the judges for making the hard decisions in ranking the creative dishes, as well as Miss Ryan for smoothly organising the event and Kowhai whanau for hosting it.
