COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS

|| April 9, 2020

COVID-19 UPDATE: 25 October 2022

COVID PROTOCOLS

On 12 September 2022, the Prime Minister announced that the COVID-19 Protection Framework will be removed as of midnight on Monday 12 September 2022.

This means that students, staff and visitors are no longer required to wear face masks at One Tree Hill College. This also extends to school buses and most other environments. Face mask wearing is now a matter of personal choice. If students, staff or visitors wish to wear a face mask, they are still most welcome to do so. We continue to encourage good hygienic practices, including regular hand washing and use of hand sanitiser.

The other major change announced is the change to isolation requirements. Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 must still isolate for 7 days, however household contacts are no longer required to isolate (as long as they test negative every day).

Over the past 2 years we have appreciated the prompt communications from parents about COVID-related matters that have affected your family.

Students should NOT come to school if they are feeling unwell. COVID symptoms can be very mild initially and may include: sore throat, headache, cough, sneezing/running nose, fever, shortness of breath, loss of smell or altered sense of taste. Please seek advice from COVID-19 Healthline 0800 358 5453
· If your child is unwell keep them home and contact the school Attendance Office in the normal manner (attendance@onetreehillcollege.school.nz).
· Students who have COVID-19 and are required to isolate for 7days can access learning materials via their Office365 account.

Thank you once again for your support as we work with you to continue providing students with on-site teaching and co-curricular activities in the safest environment possible. Take care and stay safe. If in doubt please contact Healthline.

Ngā mihi
