Kowhai Mufti Daffodil Day 2017

|| September 1, 2017

This year on Friday 25th August, the yellow Kowhai whanau had organised a successful mufti day school-wide. Students and our school collectively raised around $3,300 for the Cancer Society whose goals are to assist people living in New Zealand who need financial support and, to fund in the research for curing cancer in general. In addition, the day had been full of student driven food stalls and the purchasing of daffodil pins all throughout. Every year of charity tremendously helps the cause by not only the money raised but the significant awareness It brings to the school and students who may not know a lot about the cause overall. Miss Ryan (the Whanau Leader of Kowhai) states that “This organisation is an effective cause that can relate to a lot of people which encourages students to come together and gather support whilst donating too”. In the end, it was a highly successful and fun day that students will definitely be looking forward to next year!
