One Tree Hill College New Staff Members 2026

At One Tree Hill College, the school continues to grow and thrive, and as such, we have welcomed many new arrivals. Along with our many new Year 9 students who have joined us this year, we have also had a number of new staff members come into our school. Some, to teach for their first time, and some who have taught here previously and come back to be with us again.  Ms Sewter, one of the teachers who had taught here previously, has returned.  She said that she wanted to come back because she had valued the strong sense of community amongst both the staff and students, describing it as the “whānau feel." She also added, “I am delighted to be back and once again have the opportunity to teach here at One Tree Hill College where so many exciting things happen all the time. The staff are so well supported and the students are always leading and taking new initiatives and big steps.” New teacher, Mr Davies, who has come from the fitness industry, joined One Tree Hill College to teach our students and be part of the staff.  Mr Davies mentioned that he had friends who worked at the school and they had told him about our school and how it offered the most support to set up trainee teachers for success in the future.  He also mentioned, “OTHC is a very diverse school, and I’ve found all the staff really enjoy working here. It has a real ‘team’ feeling that you don’t see in other places.” He also wanted to mention his favourite quote - “How you do anything, is how you do everything.”

Principal Mr Coughlan, said, “One of my most important roles as Principal is to appoint the very best teachers and support staff for our students. I am proud to have staff who are as good, if not better than those at any other school in New Zealand!”  One Tree Hill College is growing and thriving every year with more and more new students and teachers joining us. Mr Coughlan always quotes –‘strive for higher things’, and this our students and staff follow with pride!
