The Careers Centre at One Tree Hill College has a respected reputation for doing an excellent job of preparing students for their future. Every student is encouraged to move on to further education or employment, and the Careers team works with students on both an individual and group basis to ensure this happens. The expertise within the Careers Centre ensures that students receive the most up-to-date information and pastoral care.

We have a career education programme that enables students at all levels to explore their Career Development. Students are also invited to taste employment and training opportunities through the Gateway Programme in Y12 and Y13 to assist with their career decisions.

The Careers Centre is filled with tertiary education information, scholarship options and career and employment opportunities. There are computers available for students to use when making tertiary applications, writing CV’s, practicing their learners’ licence and researching information. Staff are always on hand to support students through this process.

How can Y13 students access Scholarships?

MoneyHub has published a guide to hundreds of scholarships for students starting university. All universities are covered, and there are hundreds of privately funded, Māori, Pacific and International university scholarships too. Applications close throughout the year, with tens of millions of dollars available. MoneyHub has also published a list of tips for scholarship success.
