One Tree Hill College is proud to share that our Principal, Nick Coughlan, has been awarded a Woolf Fisher Fellowship for 2027. 

The Woolf Fisher Fellowship is one of the most respected and prestigious professional learning awards for educational leaders in New Zealand. Fellowships are granted to a very small number of Principals each year who are recognised for their outstanding leadership, commitment to education, and contribution at a system-wide level, nationally.  

Mr Coughlan has expressed his deep gratitude to the Woolf Fisher Trust for this opportunity, acknowledging the Fellowship as a privilege rather than a personal achievement. He has also recognised the role of the One Tree Hill College community students, staff, whānau, and Board whose collective work and support makes this achievement possible. As you all know, he feels honoured to serve the One Tree Hill College community and takes great pride in doing so every day. 

The Fellowship will enable advanced postgraduate study at the Principal's Center, Harvard Graduate School of Education in Boston, USA. It will also facilitate engagement with global educational leaders. Mr Coughlan looks forward to bringing insights from this experience back to One Tree Hill College, with a strong focus on improving outcomes, opportunities, and wellbeing for current and future students.
