Year 13 Sports Science 2016

|| October 13, 2016

This year are Year 13 Sports Science class were privileged to be the first Senior class at One Tree Hill College to tackle the great outdoors with a stunning back drop of Tongariro and Mt Ruapehu.  Our class was challenged daily with physical and emotionally draining tasks which included Bush Navigation, Rock Climbing, Caving, River Crossing, Tramping, Abseiling, Camping and using the outdoor flying fox.  To prepare ourselves well for this experience we training at least 3 times a week and studied a variety of leadership principles in class to ensure we were ready for any obstacle.  The camp was a great experience which I recommend for any student wanting to study Sports Science at Level 3 next year.  Thanks also to our Captain Mr Maea-Brown for his Bear Grylls leadership during our camp.
