OTHC Wearable Arts 2017

|| August 10, 2017

In Term Two, the Wearable Arts competition took place, featuring eight recycled outfits created by each Whanau, in junior and senior segments. For two weeks, students planned and designed a dress from recyclable materials. On the day of the runway display, judges announced the winners, with Tawa’s victory in first place, followed by Hinau, Kowhai and Miro. Kowhai junior participant Charla Fernando says that “it was a fun process. There was a lot of pressure but we overcame it in the end, and even we didn’t win, it was a great experience.”
