OTHC Pasifika Awards Ceremony 2016

|| September 23, 2016

On Tuesday 20th September 2016 One Tree Hill College celebrated its annual Pasifika Awards Ceremony in true Pasifika flavour.  The evening included Cultural performances, songs from our successful Chorale, performances from two Pasifika College bands, student cultural speeches and the most important aspect of the night celebrating Pasifika academic success at One Tree Hill College.  We were treated to two guest speakers, the first former prefect Tui Mulitalo who is currently working for a successful marketing company and our second guest speaker New Zealand Warriors player Tofofoa Sipley who also spent time as a trainee teacher in the College last year.  The Marilyn Wales Auditorium was full to capacity showing the strong support the College has from our local community.

Our Prestige Awards winners were:

Year 9 - Jennifer Irshad

Year 10 – Isaiah Silinu’u

Year 11 – Bai Buliruarua

Year 12 – Dolly Niuhulu

Year 13 - Mikayla Ngatoko

We would like to thank all our parents, staff, SLT, Board, guest speakers and Pasifika Learning Group for supporting this successful event.
