Tawa Whānau Mufti Day

|| August 4, 2023

Each year One Tree Hill College’s four Whānau’s have a turn running a Mufti Day. Each Whānau decides how the day will be organised and the charity that will benefit from the fundraising on the day. This year, Tawa Whānau decided to fundraise for two charities, Hospice and the Auckland Flood Relief because of the damage and stress that the floods caused this year. They knew that any fundraising would help with the impact and struggles that our communities were now facing. Tawa Whānua Leader Ms Eliason also hoped that the day would get the students thinking about the impact that such disasters have on communities, and how people are affected. Students organised food stalls and games on the day, and everyone was pleased that their efforts raised $1,200 for these very worthwhile charities.
