OTHC Japanese Language Week

|| June 12, 2025

Japanese Language Week, a celebration with the purpose of promoting Japanese language and culture inside the college. This took place during term 2. The week's goal was to interest students in all things Japanese and give them enjoyable and significant opportunities to experience every aspect of Japanese life. Throughout the week, a variety of activities took place, such as creating origami, writing in Hiragana, studying Japanese anime, and creating flags. Students were inspired to engage creatively with the language and culture through these events.  Throughout the school there was a strong sense of excitement and participation throughout the week. Senior students Diya Lingam and Awit Jacaba deserve extra credit for their commitment and hard work in helping to plan the events for the week Given the positive results and feedback from both students and staff indicating that the week was a huge success, the organisers are excited about hosting Japanese Language Week once more in 2026.
