OTHC New Deputy Principal

As one chapter closes, another begins. With the departure of Deputy Principal Mr Tagaloa, we were pleased to warmly welcome his replacement Mr Revell, who has been acting Deputy Principal at Lynfield College in Mt Roskill. He brings with him a wealth of experience which we are sure will benefit our not only our our Senior Leadership Team but the One Tree Hill College community as a whole. Mr Revell says he is fortunate that his teaching career, though centred in New Zealand, has taken him overseas at various times to teach in England, and Australia in many educational roles. He says that although he had enjoyed these overseas experiences he always – “was glad to return back to his native New Zealand”.

His leadership journey began as Deputy Principal at Henderson High School in West Auckland, followed by the Deputy Rector’s position at Kings High School in Dunedin. After a stint on the Gold Coast in Australia, he returned to New Zealand earlier this year to be closer to family where he took on the role at Lynfield College. Upon learning of the Deputy Principal’s position at OTHC becoming vacant, Mr Revell decided that he would apply, and subsequently win, the position. He says that he is enthusiastic about being here and is excited to contribute to the College’s legacy. He looks forward to witnessing students excel in their passions, whether it be in sports, academics, leadership, or extracurricular activities.

One Tree Hill College is known for its driven students and strong sense of community, making it a perfect fit for Mr Revell’s dedication to sports and education. We warmly welcome Mr Revell to our college, we are eager to see the positive impact he will make.
