2024 Start of Year Information and Resources 

Welcome to One Tree Hill College. Please find important dates, resources and information regarding the start of the school year below:

Start up Times and Dates for 2024:

Years 10-13 who are new to One Tree Hill College - Wednesday 24 January 2024:
Please meet in the main reception for an orientation of the college at 11.00am. Students must bring their laptop to school for their orientation. Students must wear full school uniform. The orientation and timetable confirmation will finish at 12.30pm and students will return home at this time. You are invited to attend our official pōwhiri welcome on Thursday 1 February at 9am. The pōwhiri is not compulsory for new students in Years 10-13, however if you do choose to attend, please do so in full school uniform. At the conclusion of the pōwhiri students in Years 10-13 will be able to return home ready for the relevant start date below.

Years 11-13 who have gaps in their timetable - Wednesday 24 January 2024 at 12noon:
Please meet Assistant Principal, Mrs McKnight in the Knowledge Centre at 12 noon. Students must wear full school uniform.

Year 9 – Thursday 1 February 2024 at 9am:
Please meet out the front of the school marae (to the left of main reception) for our official pōwhiri welcome. The pōwhiri is for all Year 9 students and their families. All Year 9 students will remain at school for the full day. Students will need to bring their laptop on this day. Please note school buses will be running and Health School Lunches will be served from this day.

Full school (Years 9-13) will commence on Friday 2 February 2024 at 8.45am:
(Timetable Day 5). Students will go directly to their whānau classroom for the start of the day. Students will start on timetabled lessons for Day 5. Students will need to bring their laptop and all other required subject stationery and equipment on this day. Please note school buses will be running and Health School Lunches will be served from this day.

All students must attend in FULL school uniform from their first day.
